About Us

Our mission is to inspire and empower both graduate and undergraduate students by fostering a deep understanding of the field of technical sales, also known as presales or solutions consulting. Through strategic collaboration with the National Society of Sales Engineers (NSSE), we aim to provide unique opportunities for learning, professional growth, and industry engagement. Main Goals of DSSE: Establish a Duke chapter of the esteemed National Society of Sales Engineers (NSSE) to leverage their extensive resources, providing unparalleled support and opportunities for students. Collaborate with Professor Allessio’s Technical Sales Class to introduce students to proven frameworks and methodologies in technical sales, equipping them with relevant skills. Host a series of guest speaker sessions, workshops, and mock demo competitions led by seasoned technical sales professionals, providing hands-on experience and practical insights. Facilitate student participation in NSSE's annual career fair and networking conference, fostering valuable connections and enhancing employment prospects in the technical sales field.
